How many days a week should I practice Yoga ?
As a beginner, you should practice at least 3 days a week and slowly increase your practice to 5 days a week. What is important is to listen to your body and enjoy your practice. Stop if it feels stressful. In Yoga, it is as important to relax as it is to work-out.
Will Yoga help me lose weight?
Yes! The practice of Yoga asanas helps in restoring balance and healing our mind and body. Yoga poses are all about stretching, twisting and balancing and when practiced in dynamic flows like Vinyasa or Power Yoga, the combination of core-strength and cardiovascular workout helps build stamina, regulate metabolism and burn excess fat.  Yoga  guides us towards leading a happier and holistic lifestyle. If your practice is clubbed with specific breathing techniques, ayurvedic therapy and holistic diet, Yoga can help immensely in giving you long lasting results in weight loss. We offer a holistic approach to weight loss. Please contact us for further details.

Is Yoga religious? Do I have to chant mantras?

Yoga is not a religion. The word ‘Yoga’ means union of mind, body and soul. It means union with the Divine light. It is a set of practices which help the practitioner lead a holistic lifestyle. Asanas, pranayama, meditation and mantra are important aspects of this holistic practice. The divine vibrations of the mantra help us experience higher energies. If you are uncomfortable with chanting, you can simply choose to listen.
